DJI Osmo Action 4

Jan 05, 2024

The DJI Osmo Action 4 action camera features a 1/1.3″ image sensor, wide f/2.8 aperture, and a 2.4μm-equivalent pixel size for better low-light performance. It can capture 4K/120fps and it has a 155° ultra-wide FOV.

Upgrade your action video with the newest camera offering from DJI, the Osmo Action 4 Compact Action Camera. The Osmo Action 4 comes in two base combo kits to fit your production needs: the Standard Combo and the Adventure Combo. Each combo kit already includes several accessories, but DJI is also releasing a slew of separately available compatible accessories to round out your Osmo Action 4.

The new Osmo Action 4 does have a lot of the same features as the Osmo Action 3, but it does sport a brand-new 1/1.3″ CMOS sensor that is claimed to enhance image capture in low-light environments.

The action camera also comes with 10-bit and D-Log M color support. The Osmo Action 4 features the same freeze-resistant battery, 4K120 maximum resolution / frame rate, 360° HorizonSteady image stabilization, dual touchscreens, and an ultra-wide 155° field of view f/2.8 lens as the Osmo Action 3

With the Osmo Action 4, you have the ability to capture vertical video for uploading to social media sites. The camera’s chassis and the included frame provide a magnetic quick release to switch from horizontal to vertical format. The Action 4 can operate underwater without a case down to 59′ and, with the optional Dive Case, it can operate down to 197′.

The Standard Combo includes the camera and a range of accessories. The Extreme Battery lasts longer than standard batteries, and it can withstand low temperatures. The Horizontal-Vertical Protective Frame fits around the camera and provides quick mounting in either horizontal (standard) or vertical (portrait) mode. It also includes several mounting options, including a quick-release adapter mount, curved adhesive base, locking screw, and anti-slip pad, as well as a lens hood and a USB-C PD fast charging cable.

The Adventure Combo includes the camera and everything in the Standard Combo but also has three Extreme Batteries, an additional Mini quick-release adapter mount, two locking screws, a battery charging case, and a 4.9′ Mini Extension Rod.

DJI has also released numerous new accessories to complement the Osmo Action 4. The Mini Extension Rod provides a bottom mount with a 3-prong receiver, foam-lined grip, bottom mounting thread, and hand strap hook. You can add a GPS Bluetooth Remote Controller, Glass Lens Cover, ND Filter Kit, and Adhesive Base Kit.

There are also the following accessories available:

There’s nothing overly exciting or groundbreaking with this new camera, and it is a fairly mild upgrade over its predecessor.
